Elizabeth Canler Rose, about 1890
A true pioneer, she chartered the "Devonshire" in 1853, filled it with farming equipment, and joined her son Robert in Western Australia. The site for the house at Wilgarrup, still in the family today, was selected by Elizabeth for her son Charles.
